How it all began:
The journey of the founder & creative director, Christina Gancz
Christina Gancz’s journey to founding Gancz Creations began with a lifelong passion for creativity. From her early days of designing PowerPoint presentations and experimenting with HTML code for fun, Christina laid the groundwork for her future in visual communication. Her talent blossomed in high school through roles in the Yearbook and Scrapbook Clubs, and later, creating impactful promotional videos for the school that set the stage for her career.
All while navigating doubts about pursuing a creative career, Christina studied Visual Communications at Vanier College and the esteemed Design program at Concordia University in Montreal. Encouraged by mentors who recognized her potential, she embraced design wholeheartedly. A pivotal moment came when a respected film teacher advised:
"Christina, you’re a creative. If a creative person doesn't create, they’ll spend the rest of their lives being thirsty for it."
During her studies, Christina worked as a print specialist at Staples, where her passion for design flourished. She designed custom agendas and notebooks, which led to the creation of an e-commerce platform for online orders. This entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on experience laid the foundation for her future endeavours.
Upon graduating university in 2017, Christina chose to establish her own studio rather than taking a conventional path in an agency. Starting with only a single client and driven by boundless curiosity, she explored various facets of design—from web development and print media to animation and digital marketing. Her early success and dedication to impactful projects soon attracted a talented design team and a network of professionals with diverse creative backgrounds.
Today, Gancz Creations thrives as a hub for creative excellence, specializing in projects that strive to create a meaningful social impact. Christina’s unwavering commitment to creativity and advocacy continues to propel the studio forward, ensuring inventive approaches that make a difference in communities worldwide.
